Take out "Kenard's Secret Wooden Box," open the front and back doors to show it, and place a small ring inside before closing the doors. Next, pass a mini wand through the holes (slots) on both sides of the box and have the audience firmly hold the ends of the wand. When you cast a spell and open the box, to everyone's surprise, the ring has passed through the wand without any hesitation. (You can also have the audience pull the wand out through the slots while still holding both ends.) How did the ring jump up inside the box and pass through the wand on its own?? The audience can inspect the box, the ring, and the wand, but there are no cuts in either the ring or the wand.
