THE DEVIL ALWAYS KNOWS (Seven Deadly Sins) "Candlelight Edition"

Having befriended Christopher a few years ago, I was honored when he asked me to be the one to announce his awesome "new" effect to the magic community. Having been given one of the Candlelight sets to play with for the past month, I will say they are absolutely a thing of beauty! The reactions I have been getting while performing are from stunned silence to literally shrieks and screams. I love everything about this effect!

Christopher asked me to share this quick demo he shot to covey the basic effect. He said he usually goes into describing the sins in more depth, but that it hopefully shows the possibilities. I personally do a playful version of the effect, choosing the card "for me" that relates to when or where I'm performing i.e. I chose "Envy " after Christmas when I said my buddy got a new Porsche for Xmas and I only got socks, or "Greed" in that I didn't want to share my mom's eclair cake she made for my Birthday, etc. There are so many possibilities, from humorous to dark, we both look forward to seeing what presentations people come up with. I'm guessing we'll see some that will scare the pants off people!

You may reserve your set immediately by ordering now if you wish, because this edition is in limited quantities. I'm personally not a fan of pre-ordering magic these days before reading reviews, but being most will understand what is going on after reading the ad copy, there's no need to worry (I can personally attest that the quality of the cards are awesome).

Christopher said to feel free to post any questions or comments here and he'll get you an answer in a timely matter.

THE DEVIL ALWAYS KNOWS (Seven Deadly Sins)

Created by Christopher Dearman

The performer lays out seven cards on the table, each one representing one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

After explaining that the devil uses these sins in order to tempt his victims, the performer chooses a vice that would personally be tempting. Instructing the spectator to do the same, they then have a completely free choice of the remaining six sins.

Before committing, the performer tells the spectator that they can change their mind as many times as they want, but no matter how much one tries to trick him, the devil ALWAYS knows.

---

Inspired by Nick Trost's classic Eight Card Brainwave and giving it a bizarre Seven Deadly Sins twist, these cards are beautifully printed on 310gsm cardstock from France, with a linen finish that is extremely durable and should last for many, many years.

The art was designed by a professional artist, and needs to be seen in person to really be appreciated. Just laying the cards down on the table immediately grabs the spectators interest, offering unlimited storytelling opportunities for a virtually captive audience.

From fun and humorous presentations to downright terrifying ones, THE DEVIL ALWAYS KNOWS is an instant reset worker's dream that makes for an absolutely unforgettable piece of magic.

With plans for distribution of an antique devil version in the future (slightly smaller & brighter red version of the devil head designed for normal lighting), The Candlelight Edition's larger devil head is made to look extra creepy and more visible in low light situations (looks great in normal lighting as well). Also, the fact that the black envelopes of this version have been discontinued by the distributor, this also may be the last chance to get this particular set.
