Alakazam Magic are proud to present US card expert Steve Reynolds second Alakazam Academy.

"I am a Steve Reynolds fan for two reasons: great methods and mind-blowing effects."

Allan Ackerman

Steve Reynolds shares secrets that have helped him firmly establish himself as one of the world's premier sleight of hand entertainers. Steve has managed to integrate the psychology of the audience into the methodology of his magic.  Moreover, Steve believes that a lot of magicians treat technique as the effect.  In Steve’s opinion, the technique is there to service the effect.

"Steve Reynolds’ approach, handling, and timing for the classic Zarrow Shuffle is as good as it gets, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching his masterful execution of this challenging false shuffle...over and over again!"

Steve Forte

In the second of his Academies, Steve tips the mitt on several cherished routines that are not only have great methods but also are strong effect. Included in the academy are;

Marlo's Simple Student Exchange

This is Marlo's easy version of Jerry Sadowitz's classic pocket interchange. The Ace, Two, Three and Four are placed into four separate pockets. All at once they change places with the Four Kings held in your hand.

Paris Slant Goes to Paris

The red and black Aces change places a few times and then transform into four blackjacks. This is Steve's expanded version of JJ Sanvert's classic effect.

New Orleans Lesson

Steve demonstrates how to warm up your sleight of hand skills with an expanded version of Vernon's classic Matching the Cards.

Finally Final Aces

A three-phase Ace Assembly, based on Bro. John Hamman's Final Aces. This version uses no gimmicks.

Clear-Cut Assembly

This is a direct and clean looking all-at-once Ace Assembly.

Easy Coin Cut

A card is selected and lost in the deck. A coin vanishes and appears next to the selected card. This is Steve's offbeat handling of UF Grant's classic effect.

Marlo's Grand Total Prediction

Two folded billets are placed on the table. The spectator cuts and deals to two cards. Not only are the two cards predicted but also all of the spectators choices giving a grand total prediction.

On the Signed Card

Steve shares three versions of Bro. Hamman's "mystery card" effect. This includes a Marlo method from the Olram File.

Swindle King Production

Which King has produced from the deck in various unexpected ways. This looks like a brilliant demonstration I'm sleight of hand and magic skills. Though it uses basic card moves. In combination the effect is hard hitting.

S.P. Hideout Move

Steve demonstrates his small-packet hideout move and some of its uses.

Aluminum Fold

A new card fold is accomplished as a card is inserted and squared into the deck.

Bottom-Line Shuffle

Steve is known for his expert execution and explanation of the Zarrow Shuffle. Here he gives a crash course in False shuffle skills and explains a devious red-black false shuffle that goes beyond the Z.
